The second Friend of the Blue Band award was presented to Curt Spalsbury, owner of Domino’s Pizza, at the annual Penn State Marching Blue Band Banquet.

Spalsbury, a former member of the Blue Band, has donated about 63,000 slices of free pizza to the band for rehearsals and special events. The award celebrates an individual’s outstanding commitment to the Blue Band.

Heather Grove, of State College-based Keystone Payroll, completed the Cornell University Master’s certificate program in human resources, which is a series of 16 courses designed to develop a comprehensive skill set in human resources administration.

Grove is responsible for supporting client technology solutions and outside sales coordination.

Geisinger President and CEO David T. Feinberg was named to the top 10 of Modern Healthcare’s 2016 list of the 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders.

It’s Feinberg’s first year in the top 10, ranking ninth. According to Modern Healthcare, these physicians are innovators, excel in community services and demonstrate reputable executive authority.

Urish Popeck & Co. appointed Kevin M. McGarry as a partner with the regional accounting and consulting firm.

McGarry, a Penn State accounting graduate, has been with the firm’s State College office for 13 years. He leads the business services group and provides emerging to mid-size businesses, startups and individual business owners with assurance, business advisory and tax planning and compliance services.
