Centre Volunteers in Medicine to host 3 upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinics. Here’s what to know

Centre Volunteers in Medicine will host three free COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the upcoming weeks.

The first will be a clinic held from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Mount Nittany Middle School for ages 12 and older. Appointments can be made online and a parent or guardian must accompany those under age 18.

First, second and booster shots are available for all three authorized vaccines; Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech. Pfizer-BioNTech is the only authorized vaccine available for those under 18, the others will be available for individuals over 18.

CVIM will also hold a clinic with Penn State from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bryce Jordan Center. People must enter through the B Gate, fill out a vaccine consent form, and wait inside the center for 15 minutes after receiving their dose.

Appointments will open to Penn State students first, before opening to staff and the local community, ages 12 and older. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.

The clinic will also have all three authorized vaccines, as well as boosters for those eligible. Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna boosters are available for individuals who were fully vaccinated more than five months ago. Johnson & Johnson boosters are available for individuals fully vaccinated more than two months ago.

CVIM will also hold a pediatric clinic on Feb. 1 for ages 5 to 11 for first and second doses of Pfizer-BioNtech only. Vaccines will be available from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the organization’s facility at 2026 Sandy Drive in State College.

The pediatric clinic is appointment only.
