Centre County posts two new West Nile hits
Centre County had two new positive tests for West Nile virus on Thursday.
According to the state’s West Nile Virus Control Program, two mosquitoes have tested positive in Miles Township.
That brings the total for 2016 to six positive tests in Centre County.
Fifteen birds have been tested in the county with two showing positive results. There are now three positive mosquito tests, out of a total of 144. There has also been a veterinary case that tested positive.
There are no human cases in Centre County so far this year.
