Man dies in crash on I-80

A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80.

Daniel C. Buckner, 43, of Largo, Florida was driving a 2010 Dodge Caravan westbound on I-80 in Lamar Township. The vehicle struck the guide rail along the right side of the road, traveled about 800 feet and left the road. The vehicle then hit a tree.

Buckner used a seat belt, but suffered fatal injuries, according to state police at Lamar.

Good Will Ambulance, state police and Clinton County Coroner Zachary Hanna responded to the scene.

Police have not given a cause for the crash.
