Strong thunderstorms could lead to flooding in Centre County

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Thursday to alert people in Centre County and surrounding communities that a strong line of thunderstorms could lead to flooding.

The other counties include Blair, Clearfield, Cameron, Lycoming, Elk, Potter and Cambria.

The special weather statement will be in effect until 4:15 p.m.

The storm will include torrential downpours and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
