Two people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Monday in College Township.
According to State College police, Francis Billettes, 82, of Spruce Creek, was traveling south on South Atherton Street when he attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of Koch Funeral Home. He turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by Janet Meister, 78, of State College, who struck Billettes’ vehicle on the right side.
Billettes claimed he had been following another vehicle that turned into the parking lot and didn’t see a vehicle approaching, police said. A witness reportedly corroborated seeing him turn into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Billettes was evaluated by EMS at the scene, police said. Meister and a passenger were taken by EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
