Area marching bands draw a crowd
High school marching bands from across Centre and Clearfield counties strutted their stuff Saturday.
Saturday might belong to college football in Centre County but on a Penn State bye week, nine high schools took a rare opportunity to be the main attraction instead of the halftime show.
Philipsburg-Osceola was joined by Bald Eagle , Bellefonte and Penns Valley from one side of the creek and Clearfield, Curwensville, Glendale, Moshannon Valley and West Branch on the other. Lock Haven University also performed.
The show drew a packed crowd, with one parent volunteer noting it was the largest audience the stadium had seen in years.
