Snappy’s opens new store, will sell beer and wine

Snappy’s newest location has features that won’t be found at many other locations.

The store will sell beer and wine, and it is the third Snappy’s with a grill to cook all fresh food, according to Snappy’s Director of Customer Contact Kristi Heichel. The convenience store’s menu will include cheesesteaks, half-pound burgers, a Mexican line and salad offerings.

“Snappy’s is becoming more of a destination place now,” Heichel said.

The Milesburg area is under served, according to Heichel, and the company wanted to give the community another option.

The company will host a grand opening 3-5 p.m. Wednesday. The store had a soft opening Oct. 11.

“We’re grateful the community has welcomed us and has shown so much support for us leading up to opening of the store,” Heichel said.

The Snappy’s location is about 2,500 square feet and will employ 25 to 40 people. The new location also has Snappy’s loyalty card program and Snappy’s coffee made with the company’s roasts.
