State College holds a special place in Debra Love’s heart.
Happy Valley has long been a destination for her to go shopping, and it’s where she’s always envisioned operating a store.
“I love the vibe, the feel and the people here,” she said. “It’s a great atmosphere, and I felt a need to be here.”
And she finally is — she recently opened her second upscale boutique consignment store called Love It. She also operates a store in Huntingdon County and would like to open a third in Hollidaysburg or Altoona.

The new store is located at 918 W. College. Ave., where Clinefelters closed in 2016.
“So many people have stopped in and have welcomed us here and have been happy to see something new in here,” Love said. “I think we’re in a great location with great timing.”
The State College store has 2,800 square feet of space, which is filled with name brand clothing.
“This will take off,” she said. “There is no doubt in my mind.”
Love also emphasized that the company will be involved in the community by donating to homeless shelters and participating in local fundraisers.
