Police identify man killed in Clearfield County crash

State police at Clearfield have released the identity of the driver killed early Monday in a Clearfield County crash.

According to a state police news release, 22-year-old Thomas William Denny, of Weedville, died at about 5 a.m. at the intersection of Exit 123 off Interstate 80 and the Shawville Highway in Bradford Township. A tractor-trailer driven by Waylon A. Ream, 40, of Marshallville, Ohio, was reportedly traveling east along the ramp when it pulled straight onto Shawville from a stop sign.

Denny was driving a Hyundai sedan and traveling north on Shawville when he hit the trailer on the right side, police said. On impact, the tractor-trailer reportedly pulled the sedan for about 140 feet before coming to a rest.

Denny was pronounced dead at the scene.
