The tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents over three years, according to a press release from the BJC.
“Performing live fuels me and I’m ecstatic and humbled to continue to play to audiences across the globe,” John said in a statement announcing the farewell tour. “I plan to bring the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades to my final tour. After the tour finishes, I’m very much looking forward to closing off that chapter of my life by saying farewell to life on the road. I need to dedicate more time to raising my children.”
It won’t be the first time the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Famer will grace the BJC stage. He’s performed at the venue four times — in 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2011.
John’s career spans 50 years, with 38 gold record and 31 platinum and multi-platinum albums, more than 50 Top-40 hits and he’s sold more than 300 million records worldwide.
