Grange Fair, Ag Progress Days & more: Here are all the events around Centre County in August
More of the region’s signature summer events, including the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair and Penn State’s Ag Progress Days, are set to return in August.
There are also many opportunities to take in live music, with the Penn’s Woods Music Festival back in action and the continuation and weekly outdoor concerts across the county.

Ongoing — South Hills World of Opportunity Concert Series every Sunday at 6 p.m. at the South Hills School of Business & Technology, 480 Waupelani Drive, State College.
Ongoing — Summer Sounds concert series every Sunday at 7 p.m. at Talleyrand Park.
Ongoing — Live after 5 every Thursday from 5:15-7:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Plaza, Fraser Street, State College. A weekly summer concert series featuring a variety of local musicians.
Ongoing — Calder WalkWay Lighting Experience every Thursday-Saturday from 6-11 p.m. at Calder Way in downtown State College.
Ongoing — Concerts on the Village Green every Friday from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Village Green in Lemont.
Aug. 3 — Downtown Family Flicks: “Bedtime Stories,” movie starts at dusk in Calder Way, behind PNC Bank in downtown State College.
Aug. 4, 6, 7 and 11 — Penn’s Woods Music Festival, ticketed concerts start at 7 p.m. at the School of Music Recital Hall and Olsan-Stone Terrace. The free Music in the Gardens event at The Arboretum at Penn State will be held Aug. 14.
