Bellefonte area leads Centre County’s COVID-19 case increases this week. Here’s a look by ZIP code

The Bellefonte area was home to more COVID-19 cases this week than the three main State College ZIP codes combined.

There were 85 cases in the 16823 ZIP code from Oct. 2-8, compared to a total of 75 in 16801, 16802 and 16803.

Overall, there were 380 cases in Centre County this week, 15 more than the previous seven days.

As of Oct. 8, there have been 19,769 cases in the county — 17,904 confirmed and 1,865 probable.
