Gas averages $4.18 in State College. Here’s where you can find it cheaper
Gas prices continued to decline in Pennsylvania this week, with the average cost per gallon of regular-grade fuel falling to about $4.17 Thursday.
That’s according to figures from AAA, which reports drivers in Pennsylvania are still paying slightly more than the national average, which stood at roughly $4.07 as of Thursday.
Drivers in Pennsylvania may see further relief after a move from President Joe Biden earlier this week to waive rules restricting ethanol blending. The Associated Press reports the change could shave off about a dime a gallon at a limited number of stations, though it likely won’t save consumers much given that inflation is at a 40-year high.
In Centre County, the average price for regular gasoline was roughly $4.17 per gallon as of Thursday, while in State College in particular, the average price was slightly higher at $4.18 per gallon.
Here’s where you can find the cheapest stations to fill up near you, according to crowd-sourced data from GasBuddy:
