A new bus route will offer a direct link between State College and Atlantic City
A new bus route will connect State College with Atlantic City and the southern Jersey Shore.
Starting Thursday, OurBus will offer what it describes as the first and only direct bus service from central Pennsylvania to Atlantic City and the first and only intercity service between central Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia International Airport. The line will connect to the southern Jersey Shore at Galloway, New Jersey.
The route will begin at the State College bus terminal (152 N. Atherton St.) and include stops in Harrisburg, King of Prussia, the Philadelphia airport and in South Philadelphia’s Stadium District. The service will end at three casino locations in Atlantic City.
The vehicles are premium, charter-style motor coaches, OurBus said in a statement Monday. Amenities include free bottled water and Wi-Fi and USB ports at each seat.
Fares from central Pennsylvania to Atlantic City and the southern Jersey Shore — where stops will include Absecon, Margate and Ventnor — will be $89 one way, OurBus said.
