Happy Valley Restaurant Week is back. Here’s the full list of participants
Happy Valley Restaurant Week has returned, with more than 20 Centre County restaurants showcasing their most creative dishes starting Monday.
“Everyone is putting their best foot forward, really showing their style,” Maggie Anderson, the event’s organizer, said.
Dishes will be available for dine-in but some locations are offering takeout. Restaurants will add special, limited edition menu items for the week.
For example, State Burger Co. will be returning with a “Circus Freak” milkshake, which is buttered popcorn flavored and topped with circus treats. Anderson said customers should check with restaurants to see if the limited edition meals are available for carryout.
Happy Valley Restaurant Week’s layout also differs from other cities’ restaurants or culinary celebrations, Anderson said.
“Instead of pre-fixed meals, we’ve asked to put together something really special so that one dish could be the star of the show,” Anderson said.
The event is supported by a grant from Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and will run from June 20-26. All featured dishes and photos are available on the event’s website. Diners can share their favorite meals on social media with the hashtag #hvrw2022 for a chance to win a gift card to one of the participating restaurants.
“It’s really about celebrating the unique flavors of Happy Valley,” Anderson said. “It’s an opportunity for people to go to new restaurants or maybe revisit places they haven’t been in a long time.”
