46-year-old man dies in motorcycle crash on Route 350 in Centre County

A 46-year-old man is dead following a Wednesday night motorcycle crash in Taylor Township.

The crash occurred on state Route 350 near Tyrone Pike and Stahl Lane, according to a release from Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers.

Shawn Martin, of West Decatur, was traveling north on Tyrone Pike when his motorcycle left the roadway, according to Sayers, who pronounced Martin dead on the scene. Autopsy showed the cause of death as blunt force trauma and the death has been ruled an accident.

No other vehicles were involved and Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview are investigating the crash.

Mountain Top Fire Company posted on Facebook that Route 350 was closed due to a fatal accident before reopening the road at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday night. The Philipsburg Fire Department also responded to the crash.
