One person died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday in Centre County.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. Saturday on North Eagle Valley Road (State Route 150) before its intersection with Crutin Hollow Road in Boggs Township, according to a release from the Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview.

The driver, a 52-year-old Blanchard man, was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King north on State Route 150 when the motorcycle “locked its brakes for an unknown reason,” and crossed into the oncoming travel lane, the report states. The passenger, Barbara S. Frigo, 49, of Blanchard, was flown by medical helicopter to Geisinger Danville but succumbed to her injuries. The driver was also flown to a hospital with serious injuries, the report states.

Homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence charges against the driver are pending investigation, police wrote.

Mount Nittany Medical Services, Pleasant Gap Fire and EMS, Bellefonte EMS, Milesburg Fire and EMS, and the Howard Fire Company assisted at the scene.
