Howard cabinet shop destroyed in overnight fire. Here’s what we know
A cabinet shop in Howard was destroyed by an overnight fire that had crews from across Centre County battling the blaze through early Thursday morning.
Fire companies were dispatched to G.P. Cabinets in the 200 block of Spearing Street at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a building fire. Multiple people had called 911 to report flames showing from the cabinet shop, Walker Township Fire Company posted on Facebook.
Crews from across Centre County were on scene through the night. Firefighters were still working to put out hot spots around 6 a.m., Walker Township Fire posted, and it was still smoldering at about 8:30 a.m.
Because of the ongoing efforts, Howard residents may experience low or no water pressure Thursday, Centre County 911 posted on Facebook.
“Please give the system time to regenerate. The timing of the return to normal pressure is unknown,” the post reads.
G.P. Cabinets has been in business since 2014 and designs, builds and installs various cabinets, according to its website.
