Vehicle overturns on I-80, one person injured

State police at Rockview responded to a one-vehicle crash in which one person was injured on Saturday.

At 10:26 a.m., a 2011 Dodge Durango was traveling east on I-80 near mile marker 166 when the driver lost control and struck the guardrail. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest in the left lane on its passenger side, according to a news release from police.

The vehicle sustained major damage, and a passenger suffered minor injury.

The driver was charged with driving too fast for weather conditions, according to police.

The crash closed the left lane of I-80 for about an hour. Bellefonte Undine Fire Department, Goodwill Hose Company EMS, PennDOT and Tressler’s Towing responded to the scene.
