A Strouse Electric truck crashed into a home Friday along the 600 block of Nittany Valley Drive in Walker Township after hitting a parked car along the road, according to police.

A black 2012 Toyota Avalon was involved in the crash, had damage to its rear and was off-road about three houses away.

The Strouse Electric truck was northbound on Route 64 when it hit the small Toyota, whose driver had stopped to take a phone call along the side of the road, according to state police at Rockview.

The Toyota came to a stop in a yard, and the Strouse Electric truck traveled over two driveways before becoming lodged in the side of a house.

Police said the Strouse Electric truck driver was not injured and that the Toyota driver suffered minor injuries.

The daughter of the homeowners, who declined to be identified, said her parents were at home when the crash occurred and were not injured.

She said the truck crashed into a laundry room. S&R Towing towed the truck from the scene.

The road was restricted to one lane while police and first responders cleaned debris from the crash.

Strouse Electric could not be reached for comment.
