A State College man died due to the injuries he suffered in a car crash at about 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rush Township.
Michael Edwards, 40, was taken by medical helicopter to UPMC Altoona after the crash but was pronounced dead.
State police at Philipsburg said Edwards was not wearing a seat belt when he drove his 1996 Honda Accord over the center line of U.S. Route 322, just outside of Philipsburg, into a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by a 25-year-old woman.
There was no reason given for the crash. The incident occurred near Enterprise Drive at the entrance of the Moshannon Valley Regional Business Park in Rush Township.

The 25-year old woman, who was not identified and was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.
State police were assisted at the scene by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and Hope Fire Company of the Philipsburg Volunteer Fire Department. The vehicles were both towed from the scene.
