Traffic change in Union Township due to construction

The state Department of Transportation has alerted drivers in Union Township of a traffic change slated to begin Tuesday.

Travelers along South Eagle Valley Road will switch to the southbound lane when crossing the Dix Run bridge, PennDOT said. Since October, drivers have been using the northbound lane while reconstruction took place in a half-width configuration.

Drivers should be alert for flaggers in the roadway during the traffic change, PennDOT said. The overall project includes bridge work and replacement, paving, pavement markings and guide rail updates.

Construction is expected to be completed by October, PennDOT said.
