As election day continues, Centre County and the state waits to learn primary election results. Polls are scheduled to close a 8 p.m.
Recent polling data from realclearpolitics.com shows Clinton holds Pennsylvania with a 16-point lead, while Trump has a 21.8-point lead.
While the public casts votes for their candidate of choice, voters are also casting votes for their party's delegates, who will go on to choose the eventual presidential nominees. In Centre County, voters were asked to choose five.
The Democratic nominee needs 2,383 delegates in order to win the nomination for the party. According to current counts, Hillary Clinton sits at 1,946, and Bernie Sanders holds 1,192. There are 1,627 delegates that have not been allocated.

The Republican nominee needs 1,237 delegates in order to win the nomination for the party. According to current counts, Donald Trump holds 845, Ted Cruz has 559 and John Kasich remains in the race with 148. There are 733 delegates that have not been allocated.
