Hollidaysburg man, 18, dies at the scene of car crash
A single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of a man who was not wearing his seat belt, according to a release from state police at Hollidaysburg.
Dakota Ridge Noel, 18, of Hollidaysburg, was driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus westbound on state Route 2020 when he lost control of the vehicle on a left-hand curve. The car crossed the roadway, hit an embankment, a split rail fence and a utility pole then rolled over several times.
Police said Noel was ejected from the car during the crash and died at the scene. His passenger, a 17-year-old, sustained minor injuries despite not wearing a seat belt.
The crash occurred at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Geeseytown Fire Department assisted at the scene.
