Rattlesnake bites dog on Mid State Trail

A 13-week-old border collie was sent to Metzger Animal Hospital after the dog was bit by a rattlesnake Friday on the Mid State Trail.

State College police Sgt. Kelly Aston said officers were called to help with the incident.

Police did not know the status of the dog.
