Rockview inmate found not guilty of assault

A Rockview state prison inmate was found not guilty of aggravated assault stemming from a December 2015 incident.

According to the Centre County District Attorney’s Office news release, Vincent Hollimon, 27, allegedly kicked a corrections officer in the hand after the officer attempted to stop him from falling down a stairwell.

Hollimon was found not guilty by a jury on July 6 of one count of aggravated assault and one count of simple assault, the release said. County Judge Jonathan D. Grine found Holliman guilty of one count of harassment.

He was sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and court costs, the release said.
