State police report vehicle fatality

State police at Huntingdon released the name of a motorist killed Thursday in Huntingdon County.

According to police, Parry Packer, 40, of Alexandria, was traveling north on SR 453 at about 7:30 p.m. through Morris Township when his vehicle failed to make a left turn onto Kettle Road. The vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.

Packer was declared dead at the scene, police said.
