New farmers market is coming to Centre County
If you needed another reason to look forward to summer, well, here it comes.
Ferguson Township granted approval to the steering committee behind the Pine Grove Mills farmers market. Vendors will open for business from 3-7 p.m. on June 14 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where they’ll continue to gather every Thursday through September.
“We’re really interested in folks that are either growing or making local goods,” steering committee member Laura Dininni said.
Exactly who will be doing the gathering has yet to be decided. The committee’s business plan calls for a minimum of 10 vendors, and hopefuls can request an application by sending an email to admin@pgmfarmersmarket.com or calling 883-8826.
Dininni said the space the market will occupy at the church can probably hold between 18 and 20 vendors.
“We think it will be a nice addition to the community,” Dininni said.
