Episode of Investigation Discovery’s ‘Fatal Vows’ to feature Centre County murder

A television episode about a 2009 murder in Potter Township is scheduled to premiere 8 p.m. Friday on Investigation Discovery.

Mirinda Boob was convicted in 2011 of luring her husband, Samuel Boob, into their garage along Tusseyville Road, where Ronald Heichel was hiding and fatally shot him twice.

The about 48-minute episode of “Fatal Vows” features interviews with former Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller and Boob’s parents, Mark and Marlene Heintzelman.

The episode, titled “Some Like it Dead,” also includes crime scene photographs and audio of 911 recordings.

Parks Miller told jurors during the trial that Mirinda Boob was trying to leave her marriage and sought someone to kill her husband as early as 2008.

Boob was convicted of one count each of first- and third-degree murder and conspiracy. She is serving a life sentence, plus at least 20 years at Muncy state prison in Lycoming County.

She unsuccessfully exhausted all of her state appeals.

Heichel was convicted of one count each of first- and third-degree murder and conspiracy to engage in criminal homicide. He is also serving a life sentence, plus at least 20 years at Mahanoy state prison in Schuylkill County.

He has an appeal that is still pending.
