Blair County man dies after single-vehicle crash in Taylor Township
A Blair County man died Monday after a single-vehicle crash along state Route 350 in Taylor Township, the Centre County coroner’s office said Tuesday.
Terry Bartos, 56, was traveling westbound about 4:50 p.m. Monday along the 6000 block of Tyrone Pike when he lost control of his 2003 Hyundai Accent for unknown reasons, state police at Rockview said Tuesday.
Bartos struck a telephone pole and his vehicle overturned down an embankment, police said. He died of positional asphyxia, county Coroner Scott Sayers wrote in a press release. His death was ruled accidental.
Bald Eagle, Tyrone and Sandy Ridge fire departments and Halfmoon Towing responded alongside state police.
