1 person seriously injured after 3-vehicle crash on I-80 in Boggs Township, police say
A Connecticut man was seriously injured during rush hour Monday in a three-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Boggs Township, state police at Rockview wrote Wednesday.
Robert Candales, 45, slammed his 2000 Ford F-150 XLT into a semitrailer about 6 a.m. Monday, police wrote. The driver of a 2016 Freightliner Sprinter then crashed into Candales’ pickup truck.
Candales was transported by Snow Shoe EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Neither of the other drivers were injured, police wrote.
Snow Shoe Volunteer Fire Company, Bigler Boys Towing and Eagle Towing also responded.
The investigation is ongoing.
