Centre County community pools start opening on Memorial Day. Here’s what to know

As Memorial Day approaches and temperatures rise, swimming pools across Centre County are starting to open again.

Kepler Pool in Bellefonte will remain closed for the season as it is undergoing renovations.

The Centre Daily Times has compiled a list of the nearby pools, opening dates, admission costs and more.

William L. Welch Community Pool

670 Westerly Parkway, State College

Opening date: May 28

Hours: Weekday hours for adult swim/toddler time are noon-1 p.m., general swim from 1-8 p.m.

On weekends and holidays: adult swim/toddler time is 10 a.m.-noon, general swim from noon-8 p.m.

Admission: $10 daily admission for Centre Region residents, $8 for children ages 3-10 and seniors, $5 for admission after 5 p.m.

For non-residents, daily admission is $10, $12 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $7 for admission after 5 p.m.

Season passes: For residents, adult passes are $110, $85 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $65 for weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day on weekends.

For non-residents, adult passes are $165, $128 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $98 for weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day on weekends.

Park Forest Community Pool

2100 School Drive, Patton Township

Opening day: May 28

Hours: Weekday hours for adult swim/toddler time are noon-1 p.m., general swim from 1-8 p.m.

On weekends and holidays: adult swim/toddler time 10 a.m.-noon, general swim from noon-8 p.m.

Admission: $10 daily admission for Centre Region residents, $8 for children ages 3-10 and seniors, $5 for admission after 5 p.m.

For non-residents, daily admission is $10, $12 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $7 for admission after 5 p.m.

Season passes: For residents, adult passes are $110, $85 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $65 for weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day on weekends.

For non-residents, adult passes are $165, $128 for children ages 3-10 and seniors and $98 for weekdays after 5 p.m. and all day on weekends.

Mountain Top Area Pool

225 Park Ave., Snow Shoe

Opening day: Tentative opening June 4, with a rain date for June 6.

Hours: Daily hours are noon-6 p.m., weather permitting.

Admission: Daily rates for adults and students $5, children under 3 years old $3, children under 1 are free

Season passes: $175 for families and $110 for individuals.

Millheim Pool at Soldier’s and Sailor’s Memorial Park

Park Road, Millheim

Opening day: Tentative opening May 30, with an official opening June 4.

Hours: The pool will be open noon-7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and noon-9 p.m. all other days.

Admission: $7 for daily rates; $4 after 5 p.m.

Season passes: $240 for families and $120 for individuals; twilight membership (5 p.m. to close) $150 for families and $80 for individuals.
