Grange Fair announces second grandstand act, featuring ’90s country band from Nashville
A ‘90s country band will perform at the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair this summer.
Little Texas is set to take the Grange Fair’s grandstand stage on Aug. 23, according to a Facebook post from fair organizers Friday morning.
The Nashville based band hit the Billboard charts in the early ‘90s with the songs “Some Guys Have All the Love” and “My Love.” The band’s 1993 album “Big Time” was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and was the band’s best selling album.
The group recorded four studio albums before disbanding in 1997. Former band members Duane Propes, Del Gray, Porter Howell and Dwayne O’Brien reunited in 2004, recording a live album and a fifth studio album in 2007. Little Texas has continued to tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of its first album “First Time for Everything” last year.
Grandstand acts will be announced every Friday at 10 a.m. on the fair’s Facebook page. Little Texas is the second act to be announced — former American Idol contestants Alex Miller and HunterGirl will perform on Aug. 19, the fair posted last week.
Grandstand shows are free, but admission to the fair is required.
The 2023 Grange Fair will take place Aug. 18-26 and is the last remaining tenting fair in the U.S., according to the fair’s website.
