Arts Fest or People’s Choice? You told us your favorite Centre County festival
Backed by a small but loyal fan base, the People’s Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts won the title of favorite arts festival in a CDT poll.
People’s Choice and Arts Fest, formally known as the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, both run through Sunday. Arts Fest has been a staple of downtown State College for more than 50 years; People’s Choice began about 30 years ago, in an effort to create an alternative to Arts Fest and features more local/state artists. (People’s Choice is also now in its second year at a new location, Grange Park in Centre Hall.)
People’s Choice received 38 of the 85 total votes cast in the poll, which was open Thursday through Saturday. The poll is just for fun and not scientific.
These are the full results:
- People’s Choice Festival: 38 votes (45%)
- Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts: 24 votes (28%)
- I like them both the same: 13 votes (15%)
- Neither!: 10 votes (12%)
