77-year-old man missing in Centre County. State police ask for help, put out advisory
A 77-year-old Howard man has gone missing in Centre County, and state police are asking the public for help in finding him.
Leon Bowman, of Howard, is believed to be “at special risk of harm or injury, or may be confused,” according to the Missing Endangered Person Advisory that state police issued Tuesday. He is listed as 6-foot and 110 pounds, and is described as gray and balding with a beard.
Howard Fire Company said it assisted Pennsylvania State Police on search detail Wednesday.
The state police advisory says that Bowman was last seen in the area of Bowman Camp Road in Curtin Township around 11 a.m. on Dec. 16. However, the fire company said on Facebook that Wednesday’s search efforts uncovered that he was last seen Monday around Howard Divide Road.
Anyone with information on Bowman is asked to contact police immediately by either calling 911 or state police at Rockview at 814-355-7545.
