Portion of major highway in Centre County reopens after crash, traffic delays

The southbound lanes of Interstate 99 in the Grays Woods area were closed for more than two hours Wednesday afternoon after a crash, according to information shared by Centre County dispatchers and the state Department of Transportation.

A crash was reported about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, PennDOT spokesman Timothy Nebgen wrote in an email to the Centre Daily Times. The highway reopened about 3 p.m.

Centre County dispatchers said all traffic was rerouted at the Grays Woods exit.
