Here’s what Centre County police departments have planned for National Night Out
Centre County law enforcement agencies are gearing up to participate in Tuesday’s National Night Out, the annual community policing awareness event.
Two free events will be held where community members can interact with law enforcement officers and participate in various events and activities. Below is a look at each.
Benner Township
When: 5-7:30 p.m.
Where: Giant, 2699 Benner Pike
Who you’ll meet: Spring Township, State College, Patton Township and Ferguson township police departments, Penn State Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Centre County Sheriff’s Office, along with a number of Centre County fire departments
Activities: Free hot dogs and sides from Giant, pony rides, face painting and balloons, food trucks, dunk tank and more

Bellefonte
When: 5-8 p.m.
Where: Talleyrand Park
Who you’ll meet: Bellefonte Police Department, firefighters and other emergency responders
Activities: See emergency vehicles up close, including a Life Flight helicopter, face painting, petting zoo, dunk tank, free food and drinks and more
