Peep this: Here’s where to find Easter egg hunts in Centre County in 2026
Easter is around the corner, and as in years past, there are a gazillion egg hunts to choose from for your family.
The Centre Daily Times rounded up as many as possible in and near Centre County in the days leading up to Easter, April 5. We also included the (very early and subject to change) forecast for each date, courtesy of AccuWeather.
Saturday, March 21
Forecast: A thick cloud cover. High of 59 degrees, low of 45.
Grays United Methodist Church
- Where: 5687 W. Buffalo Run Road, Port Matilda
- When: 10-11 a.m.
- Details: Bring your own basket. Egg hunt will be indoors in the event of poor weather
Zion Lutheran Church
- Where: 105 Old Boalsburg Road, Boalsburg
- When: 10-11:30 a.m.
- Details: Crafts, cookies and story time, in addition to the hunt.
Centre Pointe Church
- Where: 133 Mount Nittany Road, Lemont
- When: 10:30 a.m.
- Details: Registration starts at 10 a.m. Raffle after the hunt for children 12 and under.
Gethsemane United Methodist Church
- Where: 369 Allport Cutoff, Allport
- When: 8 p.m.
- Details: Adult Easter egg hunt, 18+ only. $10 donation required. Registration via Google Forms.

Forecast: Rather cloudy and warm; chance for a couple of afternoon showers. High of 64 degrees, low of 30.
Milesburg Community Center

Centre Hall Fire Company
- Where: 134 Witmer Ave., Centre Hall
- When: 8-11 a.m.
- Details: Free for children 6 and under, $5 for children 7 to 12, and $8 for everyone else. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, in addition to the hunt. Bring your own basket.
Mount Nittany United Methodist Church
- Where: 1500 E. Branch Road, State College
- When: 9 a.m.
- Details: Breakfast with Easter Bunny begins at 9 a.m. Age-specific egg hunts follow.
The Oaks at Pleasant Gap
- Where: 200 Rachel Drive, Pleasant Gap
- When: 10 a.m.
- Details: For children 12 and under. Opportunities for photos with the Easter Bunny.
Port Matilda Community Park
- Where: Part Street, Port Matilda
- When: 1 p.m.
- Details: Registration from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free lunch for children.
Greater Buffalo Run Valley UMC

- When: 1 p.m.

Victory Church

- Details: Games and giveaways, in addition to egg hunt.
State College YMCA

- When: Noon-3:45 p.m. (depends on age of child)
- Details: Underwater egg hunts, separated by age group. Registration required. Children 12 and under free.
American Legion, Millheim
- Where: 112 Legion Lane, Millheim
- When: 2-5 p.m.
- Details: Children up to 10 years of age.
Ridge View Acres
- Where: 1467 Ridge Road, Warriors Mark
- When: 2:30 p.m.
- Details: For children 12 and under. Light snacks included. Miniature horses brought out at 3 p.m.
Bald Eagle Area High School
- Where: 751 S. Eagle Valley Road, Bellefonte
- When: Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Egg hunt begins at 8 p.m.
- Details: Games, petting zoo, face painting and more precede glow-in-the-dark egg hunt. Intended for children in fifth grade and younger. April 4 rain date. Registration required.
Wednesday, April 1
Forecast: Sun followed by increasing clouds. High of 58 degrees, low of 41.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center
- Where: 548 Puddintown Road, State College
- When: 8-9:30 p.m.
- Details: Nighttime egg hunt for kids in sixth to eighth grade. Enrollment closes March 31 at 5 p.m. $10 for residents, $15 for non-residents. Bring your own basket.
Saturday, April 4
Forecast: Rain. High of 59 degrees, low of 42.
Pleasant Gap Fire Company
- Where: 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap
- When: 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., depending on ability
- Details: Registration opens at 9 a.m. for the first egg hunt, which starts at 10 a.m. Registration for a second hunt geared toward special needs children has begins at 10:30 a.m., and the hunt starts at 11 a.m. Gail Lucas, a member of the Lioness Club, said the second hunt is more relaxed. Photo opportunities available.
Christ Community Church
- Where: 200 Ellis Place, State College
- When: 10 a.m.-noon
- Details: Bounce houses, crafts and other activities, in addition to the hunt.
Gregg Township Fire Company
- Where: 106 Water St., Spring Mills
- When: 11 a.m.
- Details: “All ages welcomed!”
Wingate Faith Church
- Where: 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte
- When: 11 a.m.
- Details: For fifth graders and younger.
Fairbrook United Methodist Church
- Where: 4201 W. Whitehall Road, Pennsylvania Furnace
- When: 1 p.m.
- Details: For children up to 12 years old. Rain or shine.
Stoneybottom Celebration Venue
- Where: 1979 Reese Hollow Road, Port Matilda
- When: Noon
- Details: Age-specific hunts, including one for disabled people. Easter Bunny photo op.
Talleyrand Park
- Where: 320 W. High St., Bellefonte
- When: 1-3 p.m.
- Details: Easter Bunny arrives at 1 p.m., and hunt begins at 2 p.m. Children 12 and under. Parents with special needs children are encouraged to sign up for the special needs area by emailing egghuntbellefonte23@gmail.com. Rain or shine.
