Valentine’s Day concert to benefit American Heart Association
The Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra, Penn State Hershey Medical Center and the American Heart Association will collaborate on “Music for the Heart,” a Valentine’s Day concert.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Penn State’s campus.
The concert will feature Danya Katok, a soprano soloist and State College native who lives in New York City.
Before the concert, a lecture will be held explaining the health benefits of music. The lecture will be given by Hershey Director of Medical Education Research Dr. Paul Haidet.
After the concert, attendees are invited to join a heart healthy reception at Juniper Village.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red to the event.
Tickets for Penn State students and children 16 and younger cost $5. Adult tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the American Heart Association.
