Ferguson Township asks residents to prep for snow

Ferguson Township is reminding residents to be prepared for winter weather driving conditions and parking restrictions during snowfall.

According to AccuWeather, snowfall is predicted late Monday afternoon into the evening with one to two inches of accumulation possible. Snowfall is expected through Thursday, with one to three inches of accumulation during the day on Wednesday.

Township residents and businesses are reminded that when snow fall reaches a depth of two inches or more, vehicles may not be parked on the streets, a municipality news release said. Clear streets are needed for township public works crews to plow.

Vehicles that remain may be ticketed or towed, the release said.

Residents and businesses are also not allowed to shovel, plow or blow snow from driveways, parking lots or sidewalks onto the streets, according to the municipality.
