The hunt is on: A guide to Easter egg hunts and activities in the Centre Region
There are plenty of opportunities to find treat-filled eggs this weekend in the Centre Region, as long as you know where to look.
Below is a list of local Easter egg hunts and events to help celebrate the holiday.
Saturday
Bunny Blitz 5K Trail Run and Walk
When: 9:30 a.m.-noon
Where: Harpster Ball Field, Ballfield Road, Pennsylvania Furnace
Info: www.ymcaofcentrecounty.org. The race benefits the YMCA of Centre County and the Northern Blair County Recreational Center.
3rd Annual Spring Township Easter Egg Hunt
When: 10 a.m.
Where: Pleasant Gap Fire Company, 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap
Info: www.fire8.com. Children 12 and younger will be staged by age group for the hunt. Registered children will be entered in a drawing for bicycles — a boys and girls bike will be awarded for each age group.
Easter Eggstravaganza
When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Nittany Mall, 2901 E. College Ave., State College
Info: Events include children’s activities and crafts, face painting and more.
Home Depot Easter Egg Hunt
When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: Home Depot, 2615 Green Tech Drive, State College
Mo Valley Easter Egg Hunt
When: 10:30-11 a.m.
Where: Slabtown Park, Philipsburg
Info: www.ymcaofcentrecounty.org. Open to children 12 and younger, bring your baskets ready to fill.
Easter Egg Hunt
When: noon-2 p.m.
Where: Ferguson Township Lions Club, 424 W. Pine Grove Road, Pine Grove Mills
Info: Bring your camera to take photos of the Easter Bunny.
Bellefonte Community Easter Egg Hunt
When: 1 p.m.
Where: Talleyrand Park, Bellefonte
Info: Ten thousand Easter eggs will be scattered throughout the park. Games, refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny are also part of the event, which is open to children 12 and younger.
Community Easter Egg Hunt
When: 1 p.m.
Where: Fairbrook United Methodist Church, 4201 W. Whitehall Road, Pennsylvania Furnace
Info: www.fairbrookumc.org. Bring baskets or bags to the event and be ready for activities and prizes after the hunt.
Philipsburg Elks Country Club Kids Easter Egg Hunt
When: 1 p.m.
Where: Philipsburg Elks Country Club, 1 Country Club Lane, Philipsburg
What: 58th Annual Centre Region Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt
When: 2 p.m.
Where: Orchard Park, Bayberry Drive, State College
Info: www.crpr.org. Kids 9 and younger, split into four age group areas, will search for more than 7,000 eggs throughout the park. Prize baskets are provided by the State College Rotary Club.

Easter Egg Hunt
When: 9:15 a.m.
Where: Blue Spring Park, 230 Wagner St., Boalsburg
