County transportation plan open for public comment

The Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization has opened the draft 2017-2020 county Transportation Improvement Program for public comment.

The TIP is a four-year financial document listing the proposed expenditure of federal, state and municipal funds for transportation projects, a CCMPO news release said. The 30-day comment period is open Wednesday through 5 p.m. May 27.

The program can be viewed during normal business hours at the offices of the Centre Regional Planning Agency, Centre Area Transportation Authority’s Customer Service Center in State College, Centre County Planing and Community Development office in Bellefonte, Philipsburg borough building, Snow Shoe borough building and Centre Hall Branch Library, the release said.
