Bellefonte area churches collect cleanup supplies for hurricane-damaged areas

Bellefonte area churches are collecting cleanup supplies for hurricane-damaged areas through the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Five-gallon buckets are needed; buckets from fast-food restaurants or bakeries can be used if washed and cleaned. Buckets that have stored chemicals, such as paint or pool cleaner, cannot be used.

Noncellulose sponges and disinfectant wipes are also needed.

Donations can be dropped off at 130 N. Water St., Bellefonte, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and are being accepted through Sept. 28.
