Bellefonte pizzeria to be featured on ‘Restaurant Impossible’ again. Here’s how to watch
For a second time, Mamma Lucrezia’s Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant will be featured on the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible.”
Airing at 9 p.m. Thursday on the Food Network, viewers will get an inside look at how the Bellefonte eatery has been since celebrity chef and host Robert Irvine last visited in 2014.
Mamma Lucrezia owner Maria Albegiani declined to disclose any details about the upcoming episode, but Irvine said in a show preview that he’d be revisiting the eatery where he’d previously encountered family issues that “far outweighed anything.”
Irvine’s weekly challenge on the show is to “save America’s most desperate restaurants from impending failure.” On the show, he critiques failing restaurants, then — in two days and with $10,000 — sets out to return them to profitability.
The show’s initial visit was sparked after Mamma Lucrezia was receiving negative feedback from the community online, and Albegiani asked for help.
But after sharing a preview of Thursday’s episode on Facebook, the pizzeria received positive comments from people who said the business is their favorite restaurant.
