Friday in the ‘Fonte, Chalk the Walk take over downtown Bellefonte
Friday in the ‘Fonte, Bellefonte’s monthly summer series, hit the streets Friday with live music, artisan vendors and more.
On the last Friday of each month, Bellefonte businesses have extended hours and host a variety of events. This month’s Friday in the ‘Fonte coincided with Chalk the Walk, a fundraiser benefiting Downtown Bellefonte Inc.’s revitalization and economic development efforts.
Colorful chalk squares squares on High, Spring and Allegheny streets were designed by residents, families and local businesses and organizations. Downtown Bellefonte Inc.’s social media followers can vote on their favorite square to award one chalk artist the People’s Choice Award. Upcoming Friday in the ‘Fonte events will be Sept. 30 and Oct. 28. No event will take place during the last week of August, when the Centre County Grange Fair will be held.
