2 people injured in Spring Township crash that closed Blanchard Street for hours

Two people are in critical condition after a vehicle crash that closed Blanchard Street in Spring Township for about three hours on Friday afternoon, according to police.

Crews were dispatched to the 1000 block of Blanchard Street just after noon on Friday, according to a Facebook post from Spring Township Police Department. Upon arrival, the police department “rendered care and began an investigation,” which also involved the Centre County crash reconstruction team.

A 76-year-old Bellefonte man and 31-year-old Bellefonte woman were transported from the scene in critical condition and sent to UPMC Altoona, police wrote.

Undine, Logan and Pleasant Gap fire companies were dispatched to the crash.
