Crashes lead to road closures on I-99 and state Route 64 in Centre County, PennDOT says
Crashes led to road closures in Centre County on Saturday afternoon.
State Route 64 between Zion Road and Hubler Ridge Road in Walker Township was closed due to a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. A lane restriction had been in place earlier in the afternoon, and 511Pa.com showed the road back open by 6 p.m.
Interstate 99 northbound was closed at the Harrison Road exit in Spring Township at about 2:30 p.m. due to a vehicle crash. It reopened after 8 p.m.
PennDOT’s traffic cameras showed a tractor-trailer on its side across both lanes of the highway and emergency personnel on scene. The crash is near the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology.
