Axemann Road in Spring Township reopens after hourslong closure due to crash
A portion of a Spring Township road was closed for about nine hours after a Wednesday night crash.
Axemann Road (state Route 144) between Irish Hollow and Rishel Hill roads was closed just after 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the state Department of Transportation. The road reopened at about 4 a.m. Thursday.
The Facebook page Centre County Emergency Alerts and Information reported that a telephone pole and wires came down as a result of the single-vehicle crash.
The Spring Township Police Department urged motorists to avoid the area while emergency crews were on the scene.
