Who will perform at Grange Fair? Organizers make announcement about grandstand entertainment
It may be the middle of winter in Central Pennsylvania, but organizers of the Centre County Grange Fair are looking to a warmer time as organizers made the first announcement Friday of who will be performing at the fair’s grandstand this summer.
Diamond Rio, an American country band, will perform at the grandstand on Aug. 19 during the 148th Centre County Grange Fair, fair organizers announced on Facebook.
The original band members of the ‘90s group will take the stage. Diamond Rio is known for hits “Meet in the Middle,” “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess” and “In a Week or Two.” The band has 22 Top Ten singles.
Grandstand shows are free; admission to the fair is required. In the past, performers including Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, Gabby Barrett, Tracy Lawrence and Morgan Wallen took the stage.
The 2022 Grange Fair is set for Aug. 19-27. Going to the fair is a longstanding tradition for many families and acts as a home-away-from-home for a lot of the 1,000 families who stay in tents and 1,500 RVs at the fairgrounds. It is the only remaining tenting fair in the nation, according to its website.
More announcements about grandstand and other performers are expected.
